Having Trouble Understanding the Bible?

The more we know, the more we grow in Christ. Some choose not to believe because they don’t understand what God says in His Word. God wants you to understand. The author of the book of James tells us if we lack wisdom, ask God and He will give us wisdom. In John chapter 14, Jesus reminds us the Holy Spirit will teach us all things. So you see the avenue for gaining understanding is wide open to us.
Adrian Rogers said in a devotion, “The reason some of us don’t understand the Bible more than we do is because we haven’t been living up to the light God has already given us.
If you want to understand parts of the Bible you don’t understand, begin to obey the part you do understand. Then you’ll understand what you didn’t understand. Understand?”
Adrian makes a great point. Walk in the understanding God has given you and you will gain an understanding of more of God’s Word as you pray daily and study God’s Word.
